Dear Parents and Carers Re: Covid Vaccinations Update I am writing to provide further information regarding the Covid vaccinations which will take place in school on Tuesday 12th October. Following a recommendation from the Chief Medical Officers the government has agreed that all 12-15 year olds should be offered a single dose of the Pfizer vaccine.

This is to protect them against COVID-19 and the disruption and distress it can cause. We sent out a letter from Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust via Schoolcomms on 15th September which contained a broken link to an online consent form. We have now been informed that parents should complete a paper consent form, which is available in reception and attached to this communication.

The paper consent form should be returned to the reception by 12 noon on Monday 11th October. If you did manage to complete an online consent form you DO NOT need to complete a paper version. In addition, we have been told that Vaccination UK will administer the flu nasal spray in schools alongside the HCT Covid vaccination programme on 12th October.

If you have not already returned your paper consent form for the flu immunisation, please can you do so before 11th October. Thank you for your understanding about these changes, which are beyond our control. As always, we will keep you informed as we know more.
