Drama department Y10 & 11 Trip to 'Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night time'

Dear Parents and Carers,

Re: ‘The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time’ - Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre:

Thursday 16th December 2021. Departing school: 4.30pm approximate return time: 10.30pm I have managed to secure a limited number of tickets specifically for Drama GCSE Students. Seeing live theatre is a mandatory part of the course as it is part of the written exam. Ideally students should see a wide range of theatre in order to enable them to fully prepare for their exam. Please note that due to the popularity of this limited return production we could only secure a limited number of tickets, with priority given to current Year 11 GCSE students. Year 11 will need to have replied by Friday 5th November to secure their place and any remaining spaces will then open to Year 10. The Year 10 reply window will be from Monday 8th to Friday 19th November.

The cost of the ticket, including transport to and from the theatre, will be £34. If you would like to contact the school to discuss a payment plan or have a concern about finances then please contact the school office, as we may be able to offer assistance. Please note, however, that if you have any outstanding monies for previous performances that have been attended, then your child will not be able to attend this one until payment has been made.

Payment may be made by cash, cheque (made payable to ‘The Thomas Alleyne Academy’) or via WisePay. Students will need to ensure they have eaten before attending and they may wish to bring a small amount of money to buy a programme. As per school mobile phone policy, phones can be brought along so that contact home can be made when we return, but they must be kept away and off during the production itself.

If you know your son/daughter needs any medication (e.g. inhalers) please ensure they bring this with them before departure – it is imperative to indicate any medical details on the online reply slip please.

We are proud of our excellent record of exemplary behaviour on trips and visits. Students will be representing our Academy and we expect all to behave and act responsibly. If staff have any concerns about your child’s conduct, their place on the visit will be reviewed.

Should you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact me. We are looking forward to this enjoyable evening.

Yours faithfully

Mrs Cowen
