Dear parents and carers,

Re. Year 11 Art Booster Session - Saturday 29th January 2022

As a Year 11 art student, there is an expectation that their GCSE portfolio includes final outcomes that have been completed over an extended period of time in one sitting. As we will not have a final exam due to changes made by the exam board, it is imperative that students have time to complete a larger, more detailed final piece to add to their portfolios. This will allow the students to demonstrate their ability to meet the exam requirements in further depth and could have a significant impact on their final grade.

Therefore, we will be asking all Year 11 students to attend school on Saturday 29th January 2022 from 9am to 1pm to complete a final outcome or to work on their portfolio sheet. Both Ms Kwiatkowski and Miss Clifton will be in school at this time to support the students’ learning, and snacks will be provided. Students will not be expected to wear school uniform. If they are unable to attend on this date, we would expect them to make this time up after school on Mondays or Fridays to make sure we have enough evidence for all the assessment objectives they will be graded on.
