Please be advised that as part of their GCSE course, all students are required to complete two
compulsory field work studies as part of their exam preparation. As part of their Paper 2 assessment,
students are required to investigate coastal change and conflict in the UK.
In order to support this learning and meet the course requirements, we have planned a field work visit to
Walton on the Naze. Whilst at the site, students will be taking part in a variety of activities to measure
coastal processes and assess the impact of coastal management techniques, led by members of staff
from The Naze Education and Visitor Centre. We will also have time in their indoor learning area to begin
writing up and evaluating the results of our findings.
Group 1 will visit on 12th June
Group 2 will visit on 13th June
