Academy uniform helps to create and sustain a purposeful shared ethos. We expect all students in Years 7 to 11 to be in full uniform.

We are proud of The Thomas Alleyne Academy’s identity promoted through our smart uniform. Our policy on uniform and appearance is clear, and we welcome the support we receive from parents in ensuring students wear their uniform with pride.

Any exception to the Uniform and Appearance Code that follows is only by written permission from the Governors and/or the Head teacher for religious or medical reasons.

We do have clean second hand uniform available in good condition, and hold regular second-hand swap-shop events during the year. Sometimes the Academy will contribute to the cost of uniform for those families who are in need of help. If you are struggling to afford uniform or are interested in second-hand uniform please contact Mrs Swain the Pastoral Adminstrator at swainl@tas.herts.sch.uk for a confidential discussion.

NO SEWING OR IRONING REQUIRED - FAST AND SIMPLE SCHOOL GARMENT LABELLING

The Thomas Alleynes Academy have teamed up with Stikins labels to offer our school some easy to use school garment labels. These labels are very good quality and come highly recommended. This is a great way to buy your name labels for school, while earning us valuable commission for new resources.

Stikins labels have multiple uses for all kinds of school items; they can be stuck onto the wash-care label of clothes, they can also be used on shoes, dishwasher items, book bags and drink bottles etc.

You can choose either to have your childs full name, or just surname and/or telephone number on each label, using just your surname works well if you have more than one child to reduce costs.

Labelling your childrens clothing, shoes, lunch boxes etc, helps us return any lost property to the correct owner.

If you choose to use these labels you can order via the school website under School Info/School Uniform and then click on ‘name labels’. Alternatively complete the order forms on the leaflet provided and post directly back to label planet or by phone 01270 668076.

Please remember to quote our reference number 23434 when ordering

Thomas Alleynes Academy will earn up to 30% Commission on all orders

Thank you for your continued support
